haven't been posting for a while, but for those whore interested in building financial freedom for yourself might want to check out this video. I just came from T Harv Eker seminar The Millionaire Mind, 2 more days to go, but I've already gained some insights that might be useful for you as well.
This one is for designing the lifestyle of your dreams.
Watch out -- the chase is on! And if you're a white girl in Malaysia -- you're the target.
There are several different type of guys in Malaysia, I'm introducing only 3. And there's an interesting lesson to learn from all this hazzle going on around relationships here - which is how to make a woman shine:)
It has taken a while, but here I am again. My external hard drive caused me too much time loss for a while to make the effort to keep the videos coming, but it also gave me a good chance to focus more on reading, working and traveling.
I started this blog to increase my productivity -- and am now discovering new meaning for it. Quite obvisouly I found out that there are better ways to boost your productivity (for example focusing on your priority tasks:)), but I also found out that it's worth executing whatever cool idea you have. Videoblogging is still something exciting for me, so I keep going and hopefully you enjoy discovering something about Malaysia -- and more -- along the journey.
This time it's a confession from me -- after 4 years of my crazy adventure in AIESEC I'm learning to love. Yeah, sounds crazy, but so it is -- loving is not only about dragging people along with your adventure. Yeah, I have mine, I'm obsessed about it, but I'm learning now how to truly include others in my life. In this period of my life mainly Maru, he's the closest and most important relationsship I have, noone else is that much responsible for his childhood experience than me.
Quite an opportunity, don't you think?:)
Well, I've discovered that when it comes to children there's nothing above love. All the strategies, reasons and theories fade away when love comes to the picture -- this is the strongest connection with the natural source of wisdom -- intuition -- that I've found.
So this one is for pure love. Let's have fun with experimenting with it and opening our hearts for the experience.
My Malaysian friend took me to a Chinese restaurant, a remote place with magical atmosphere, which is popular among local Chinese people. While surrounded by tanks full of live fish who were waiting to be cooked, and a pet zoo with iguanas and snakes, I tried some food spectaculars for the first time in my life.
Raw oysters, prawns, eggs and all kind of seafood was cooked straight on the table, in a little pot on a gas fire. I also tried eating the noodle soup with chopsticks -- still an amateur, but picking up fast.
Love the variety of food in this country and trying thing I've never tried before.
I've always loved adventures - which is probably the main reason why the consistency in my life is mainly about getting new ones.
I came to Malaysia to work in one of the most amazing companies on planet earth - MindValley (yes, I truly am I fan), but already after 3 months I'm moving on to a even bigger, fat, exciting, scary, beautiful, brilliant, fabulous, unknown adventure for me.
Well, I'm sharing the details in the video, but since this month my job description will be even fuzzier than it is in the freedom based MindValley. I'll be moving to a new sister company of MindValley and working together with MV people and my direct boss from states, Melissa, we're aiming to change the education system (no change happens without a holistic vision).
This year we're creating and launching a documentary for parents to make sure their kids won't lose their genius abilities -- but we're aiming to grow into an offline business, building schools and changing the way we're used think how schools should be.
My role in the Project Gifted, though I'm personally still focused on internet marketing, is to do whatever is needed from managing the office, the small start up team to handling the partners and making the research for the documentary.
Exciting? Hell yeah! Scary? Let's take one step at a time:)
This video brings to you the atmosphere from the party street in KL night together with glimpses to local gay community.
Malaysia is a muslim country, though one of the most modern ones. This means that muslims, Christians, hindus and all the other religions exist hand in hand, without stepping on each other tails too much.
However religion still brings along certain restrictions -- you can't kiss on the street, holding hands is OK, but not highly appropriate, you get death sentence for holding any drugs, if you as a muslim are caught from a night club -- drunk or not wearing appropriate clothes -- you or your family faces a major trouble (your father might get easily fired for this) etc.
What I find pretty hypocritical is the attitude towards gay people -- they don't officially exist. Yet you can see on the streets plenty of gays -- never holding hands though, that would be socially unacceptable. And even though according to politicians there are no gays in this muslim country, everyone knows which club to go at what day if you want to meet other gays.
So as usually - real life is very different compared to what you read from the news.
Crime is a huge problem in the area where I'm living. At least 10 people (including me) I know have been robbed by guys on motorbikes in the last 6 months. On the other hand it's considered as one of the best neighborhoods in KL - lot of rich people and foreigners, good shopping malls, beautiful buildings, gyms, cinemas and everything you need for a comfortable living.
Which is also the reason why the criminals are so highly interested of this area -- lot of easy targets around.
It doesn't mean you can't live here, but you need to follow certain rules. One of them is not to walk after it's dark. I've kept my promise to always use taxi after it's dark (this is cheap here) or walk together with at least 4-5 people.
This video has been shot around 11 PM local time, before going home from gym and dinner at a banana leaf place.
PS: I considered this video at first a total crap, but as the cameras battery died I had no choice but to use it. And well -- looking at this imperfect, random sharing now it's actually much more fun than the regular "proper" videos.
PPS: First part of the video is part of the new course "Estonian ABC for the beginners"
PPS: My third lesson is still stuck in my friends mobile, will upload it shortly.
I'm an adventurer, a writer, a mother and lover, a learner and striving to become a community builder. I'm awed by life and people and want to spend my life doing things I 100% enjoy and believe in.
A part of me is also a perfectionist -- and I've come to the conclusion that the world today doesn't need perfection, but getting things done. I believe that minimum effort doesn't exclude maximum quality and that sharp intuition beats flawless preparation.
My 30 Day Trial blog is my conquest inbecoming awesomely productive. In the next year I'm undertaking a new challenge for every 30 days, might that mean cutting the overanalyzing process, optimizing my energy levels, sharpening my mental focus or whatever else that can help me to get closer to my goal.
The first challenge to become an efficient person is about learning to execute a small task with minimum effort. I'm making one video every day about one lesson in that day here in Malaysia.
No perfect preparation, no time for make up, bullets points, video editing. Just getting the video done with as small effort as possible and learning in the process to trust my intuition and letting go of the strive for perfection.
